Interactive lecture on the Prophetic Books of the Bible with an emphasis on the history of the Middle East from 1000 BC to 300 BC. A self-directed study of themethods, curriculum, audience and providers of education in the OT. This studywill examine the Biblical definition of education and look at current trendsand what is being published in this field. EDU 101 is an introductory course in education emphasizing Biblical principles and research methods. This course is a two-semester course with the method of education and the first Biblical principle taught the first semester. Teaching and assessment are intertwined. Future teachers will gain knowledge and experience with authentic and traditional assessments. Standardized testing, intelligence testing and other forms of testing will be evaluated as to their use and misuse.
